June Melvin Mickens launched Executive Advantage after two decades supporting for-profit, nonprofit, and government organizations to increase staff capacity, enhance communication, improve operations, and achieve business outcomes.
Before starting Executive Advantage, June held executive and senior leadership positions with organizations such as Social & Scientific Systems, the D.C. Office of the Attorney General, the National Association of Black Accountants, JMM Consulting, Service Design Associates/Tier Technologies, and the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law.She also was an adjunct professor at the Howard University School of Social Work.
June is certified by Resource Associates Corporation (RAC) in its International Network of Senior-Level Business and Executive Development Affiliates. She also has earned RAC’s Certified Quality Facilitator designation, which equips her to partner with organizations to help them solve business problems and achieve higher levels of functional success, such as greater profitability, increased market share, decreased time to market, decreased process variation, decreased employee turnover, increased on-time delivery, and greater flexibility.
June is a current or former board member of Community Bridges, the Women's Advisory Board of the Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capital, the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce, and the Eastern Regional Interstate Child Support Association.She also is a partner at Bridgeway Community Church and active in the church’s women’s and children’s ministries. June is a graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.She also is accredited by the Total Quality Institute as a Certified Quality Facilitator.
